Senate Dems Toss Feinstein Under The Bus

Man Oh Man the new Democratic Socialist (Marxist) Party is viscous, but what do you expect from an angry mob of Godless fascists?

Oh I know that seems harsh but let’s get real here. The new AOC / Bernie party had two of their convention groups intentionally leave out “under God” while reciting the Pledge Of Allegiance.

Why does this matter, because the party doesn’t have a moral basis to it except for the atheistic Marxist world view. The political system that is destructive, selfish, and lead to over 100M deaths in the 20th century.

With the all hands on deck mentality, similar to the run up to the Kavanagh hearings, the left is looking for any possible way to stop the GOP majority from confirming President Trump’s 3rd Supreme court Justice.

Ahead of the Senate Judiciary Committee battle over President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, some Democratic senators have reportedly expressed concerns that Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), 87-year-old and ranking member of the judiciary committee, may botch the hearings to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the court.

There are several possible reasons for their concerns, one of which is, what they considered, her poor performance in leading the charge to stop Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation. “She’s not sure what she’s doing,” a Democratic senator, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Politico. “If you take a look at Kavanaugh, we may be short two senators because of that. And if this gets [messed] up, it may be the same result.”

According to Politico, two other Democratic senators have expressed concerns, both also on the condition of anonymity, about Feinstein botching the committee hearing.

“She can’t pull this off,” said another Democratic senator, while yet another reportedly told Politico that the Democratic leadership were in “an impossible position” because they couldn’t risk the optics of having to replace her.

Feinstein told Politico in an interview that she was “surprised and taken aback” by suggestions she was incapable of serving in her role, saying “my attendance is good, I do the homework, I try to ask hard questions. I stand up for what I believe in.”

“Let me say this — I know it’s going to be a fight. I understand that,” said Feinstein, reports the news agency. “I don’t have a lot of tools to use, but I’m going to use what I have. We can try to delay and obstruct but they can run this process through. That doesn’t mean that we won’t fight tooth and nail.”

Furthermore, Politico reports:

Feinstein sometimes gets confused by reporters’ questions, or will offer different answers to the same question depending on where or when she’s asked. Her appearance is frail. And Feinstein’s genteel demeanor, which seems like it belongs to a bygone Senate era, can lead to trouble with an increasingly hard-line Democratic base uninterested in collegiality or bipartisan platitudes.

Another lingering issue the far left has against Feinstein is that over her long career as a California senator she has refused to endorse an abolition of the filibuster.

“Well, I don’t believe in doing that, I think. I think the filibuster serves a purpose,” Feinstein told reporters, according to The Hill. “I think it’s part of the Senate that differentiates itself.”

The good old filibuster. Not in the Constitution, but rules the Senate first adopted, in 1917, Rule 22, at the urging of President Woodrow Wilson, that allowed the Senate to end a debate with a two-thirds majority vote, a device known as “ cloture .” The new Senate rule was first put to the test in 1919, when the Senate invoked cloture to end a filibuster against the Treaty of Versailles.

Only the Majority Leader can push through changes to the filibuster. The most recent changes, which have really come to light during the Trump Presidency was made by former Majority Leader Harry Reid and current Leader Mitch McConnell.

In 2013, Reid ended the filibuster on judicial nominations, except the Supreme Court.

Four years later, Republican Mitch McConnell ended the filibuster on Supreme Court nominees, paving the way for two Trump picks. It gave Democrats a taste of life in the minority without a filibuster as leverage.

With the filibuster requirement removed for judges, the democrats in the past 3 1/2 years have been unable to stop over 300 conservative federal judges and possibly 3 Constitutionalists confirmed and seated on the Supreme Court.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) has previously said he’s leaning toward abolishing the filibuster, and in the past, Democratic vice presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) has previously said she would support abolishing the filibuster to pass the Green New Deal, reports CNN.

Former President Barack Obama called the filibuster a “Jim Crow relic” and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) later advocated for its end, citing the former president’s eulogy.

“President Obama is absolutely right,” said Sanders in a statement at the time. “It is an outrage that modern-day poll taxes, gerrymandering, I.D. requirements, and other forms of voter suppression still exist today.”

The AOC progressives hate the filibuster rule, electoral college and most of the Bill Of Rights.

If Joe Biden wins, and the GOP loses the senate, you can expect the left to end the filibuster and possibly do the unthinkable.

Add 6 more seats to the Supreme Court and nominate all six during Biden’s 4 years, without the GOP being able to stop them.

Another of the many reasons to vote for President Trump on November 3rd.
