House Speaker “Nasty” Nancy Pelosi took it upon herself to not only blame the media for the Democrats’ failure on selling the American public on the recent $3.5 trillion spending bill, but also berating them for it as well.
One reporter asked Pelosi, “Do you think you need to do a better job at messaging, and going forward, how do you sell this?”
“Well I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you,” Pelosi responded, saying the media has not done justice to the list of items in the bill, such as Family Medical Leave. “Every time I come here, I go through the list … It is hard to break through when you have such a comprehensive package.”

Here’s my question about this discussion; why would it even be the media’s job to “sell” this bill in the first place? Why should the media be the Democrats’ mouthpiece to push their propaganda? They do it often, but why does she expect it?
Truth be told, congressmen, especially those Democrat congressmen, do not care about what the people that they are supposed to represent actually want. They follow their own agenda and no longer actually represent the American people.
That’s really what she’s implying though is that if the media sells it well enough to the American people that they will express what they want to their elected officials and that their elected officials will actually do what they want.
This is sadly false. This is the way it SHOULD be, but it’s no longer reality. A perfect example of this is the November election. SOOO many people wanted an audit done to make sure that everything was legit in the election, but very few Senators and House members actually stood up to demand an audit or any sort of investigation into the matter, not even all of the Republican Senators who believed that there was fraud.
