People are already speculating about the type of monarch King Charles III will be. Will he exhibit his mother’s traits? Will he be a more generous ruler or maybe even worse?

Regardless, people are already condemning King Charles for the dumbest things while the Queen’s body is still warm.

Because he simply wants an inch of toothpaste on his toothbrush, they are ridiculing him. Every morning, he wants his jammies to be pressed. He wants the water in his bathtub to be only slightly warm. They have concluded that this man is ridiculous and has already allowed the monarchy to go to his head.

Now, as someone who is constantly attempting to view things objectively, I want to try and present a case for why this is completely appropriate behavior from the King.

Let’s understand first that this man is the king of an entire kingdom that is comprised of several nations. He does have a lot to do and so it’s reasonable that someone would get his toothbrush ready. I know that I don’t like too much toothpaste on my brush, nor do I like too little. I do like a certain amount on my brush as well. Perhaps he has realized that 1-inch of toothpaste is that ideal amount. So, I think that this isn’t a big deal.

What about his bathtub being only half full with tepid water? I mean there should be some sort of  standard, right? If someone were getting my tub ready every day for me, then it would be easiest to have a standard to shoot for to avoid filling it too little or too much.

I’ve worked in several industries where we have these things called “standard operating procedures”. To me, that’s all this sounds like. They run this like a business, and to some degree it is. So, it makes perfect sense to me to have matters like this resolved beforehand.

Just think about it this way, imagine that you eat mashed potatoes every day for dinner and the server asks you how much you would like, and you tell her half a cup of potatoes. That’s great…if she’s able to ask you. You might be busy. So, what if she can’t ask you? What if there is a new server all the time? You would likely get tired of answering the same question every day. Wouldn’t it make sense to have a standard?

Call me crazy, but people are too petty and need to worry about more important things in life besides how much toothpaste the King of England gets on his toothbrush.

  • You are 100% correct on this situation. I squeeze the toothpaste on my own tooth brush (less than an inch) but I’m not a king. If I were a king (or even a prince, duke, viscount, or even a billionaire) I might indulge myself with unheard of services that I don’t even consider now. Too many people are inclined to get into a tizzy and stick their nose in other people’s business, all the while neglecting their own business and things that really matter. I love Queen Elizabeth’s expression “Never Complain, Never Explain”. I had a friend in Chicago who had this on a sign in his kitchen alongside another that said “It’s my kitchen, and I do as I damn well please”.

  • I would take this “King” over the Senile Fascist King Biden any day! It is Time to get rid of the Aristocratic Queen Pelosi also. We are a Democratic Republic not a Socialist Monarchy! As the French Citizens said “Off with Their Heads!”

  • In the USA, if you read the box that toothpaste comes in it will tell you to put a pea size amount of paste on your brush. Why? Because if you google every ingredient in toothpaste you will see a lot is TOXIC. You Re to brush your teeth but don’t swallow

  • 1. British monarchs Reign but do NOT Rule. They have the Prime Minister and all the other parts of government that most countries have.
    2. Someone with more interest than I can look up the corporation that the Royal Family owns, that actually pays them as owners. I saw a program a few years ago about this but was not interested enough to remember any details.
    3. As for how he likes his tooth brush or bath water, in my 72 years, I don’t remember ANYONE ever attempting to establish a standard! Some people will gripe about anything.

  • One inch of tooth paste on his brush. Does he also have someone make sure there are a certain number of toilet paper squares to wipe his ass and does he have someone do it for him. As for the bath tube water. I prefer to stand under a shower instead of sitting in tub of water that is full of anything that was washed off by body.

  • Sounds like one of his confidants did not maintain his/her deference to His Highness, leaking such personal details (and to what end?). In the good old days, there would be heads rolling.
