Things are going bad in Ukraine, but I suppose things could still get worse.

One way things could get worse is if another war started at the same time, which actually almost happened last week, and it all nearly happened by accident.

Through a pure accident, India almost started themselves a war with their neighbor to the west, Pakistan.

According to BBC,

India says it accidentally fired a missile into Pakistan on Wednesday, blaming the incident on a “technical malfunction” during routine maintenance.

Delhi said it was “deeply regrettable” and expressed relief no one was killed.

Pakistan’s military said a “high-speed flying object” had crashed near the eastern city of Mian Channu and its flight path had endangered passenger flights.

Both countries have nuclear weapons.

In a statement, India’s defense ministry said: “On 9 March 2022, in the course of routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile. The Government of India has taken a serious view and ordered a high-level Court of Enquiry.”

Pakistan’s air force said the missile travelled at Mach 3 – three times the speed of sound – at an altitude of 12,000m (40,000ft) and flew 124km (77 miles) in Pakistani airspace before crashing.

So, what was Pakistan’s response to this? They basically told them to be more mindful about these sorts of things and to avoid such negligence in the future. Essentially, make sure this doesn’t happen again.

I must say that that is pretty considerate of Pakistan that they’ve basically just brushed It off. Apparently, they don’t want any war more than India does and it was an accident. Thankfully, nobody was harmed, and it didn’t destroy anything from what I can see.

It makes me wonder how something like this actually happens though. I know that our technology here in the United States and in other European countries is superior to that which is found in some countries like India even though India is still a highly developed country as well.

I’m thankful for Pakistan’s response because who knows what would have happened if a war was started between these two countries? I think if it would have been any other country, they would have seen it as an act of aggression and would have fired back.
