Even some of the most liberal legal experts agree that Amy Coney Barrett has earned a seat on the Supreme Court. Harvard Law professor Noah Feldman, who appeared as a witness in front of Jerry Nadler’s impeachment committee.

He has gone on record for saying that Amy Coney Barrett is imminently qualified to sit on the Supreme Court.

Feldman called her brilliant but admitted that he shares very little in the way of her views. But that does not matter. She belongs on the court.

Feldman says that he does not agree with the way she was nominated and will be confirmed. But that she is a great choice for the court.

Feldman said:

I disagree with much of her judicial philosophy and expect to disagree with many, maybe even most of her future votes and opinions. Yet despite this disagreement, I know her to be a brilliant and conscientious lawyer who will analyze and decide cases in good faith. Applying the jurisprudential principles to which she is committed. Those are the basic criteria for being a good justice. Barrett meets and exceeds them.”

“Some might argue that you should want your probable intellectual opponent on the court to be the weakest possible, to help you win. But the Supreme Court is not and should not be a battlefield of winner-take-all political or ideological division.”

Feldman said she would be a good justice and possibly even a great justice even if she disagrees with him.

Brilliant indeed. Barrett graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She received a degree in English literature. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Barrett then got a full scholarship to Notre Dame Law School, where she graduated first in her class in 1997. Barrett clerked for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Her confirmation will begin on October 12th and the GOP is confident that she will be confirmed before election day. The Democrats will undoubtedly attack her like they did when she joined the 7th Circuit court of appeals but she held her own in those hearings. Intellectually, no Democrat is her match. But, they will try anyway.

The Democrats are threatening to pack the court with liberal judges in order to shut them down. That assumes that they retain the House and win back the Senate and White House. They are confident that through voter fraud from mail-in ballots, they can do that.
