If I ask you what comes to mind when I say “fake news” what do you think of?

In general, you would probably say the mainstream media. Some of you would be a little bit more specific and say CNN, the “most trusted name in news”. Either way, you would be right because it’s all fake news.

CNN is one network that even goes out of its way to create a fake news story just to push its agenda. And once again, this is exactly what they’ve done.

Ron DeSantis is hands down the best governor that this country has seen in a very long time. The things that he has done for the people of Florida and the way that he has defended their freedoms is something quite remarkable.

To be quite honest, if I was someone who didn’t mind that warm weather and hurricanes every year, I’d head down to Florida myself. But the weather there just isn’t what I want in life. That and the alligators…I’ll pass on that. I don’t want to be going for a walk or a hike and come upon a tiny dinosaur. No, thank you!

Gov. DeSantis is creating a civilian corps group in Florida…basically a state version of the National Guard (State Guard) to help when there are natural disasters that his the state…like those hurricanes that I mentioned. But CNN has twisted it like crazy.

Here is what CNN said about DeSantis’ new civilian force in their article they titled, “DeSantis proposes a new civilian military force in Florida that he would control’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants to reestablish a World War II-era civilian military force that he, not the Pentagon, would control.

DeSantis pitched the idea Thursday as a way to further support the Florida National Guard during emergencies, like hurricanes. The Florida National Guard has also played a vital role during the pandemic in administering Covid-19 tests and distributing vaccines.

But in a nod to the growing tension between Republican states and the Biden administration over the National Guard, DeSantis also said this unit, called the Florida State Guard, would be “not encumbered by the federal government.” He said this force would give him “the flexibility and the ability needed to respond to events in our state in the most effective way possible.” DeSantis is proposing bringing it back with a volunteer force of 200 civilians, and he is seeking $3.5 million from the state legislature in startup costs to train and equip them.

They make it sound like he’s trying to start up his own army to prepare for war which is not the case at all. Oh, and guess what? CNN completely forgot to mention that 22 other states have done this already. But hey, it fits their agenda to single out one state and one governor to make him look like Stalin.
